Citizens of Afghanistan can avail medical visa on arrival through Torkham and Chamman Land Routes only. Patients with following medical conditions are eligible to apply under this visa category:

  • Critical road accident
  • Cardiac patients where surgical intervention is required
  • Patients undergoing surgical procedures
  • Maternity cases where surgery intervention is required
  • Burn cases patients

Please submit your intent to travel at least 48-72 hours before your planned trip to Pakistan to receive an Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA) – (Please Note: You can state your intent by submitting online visa application through Pakistan Online Visa System – Click on the Apply Now Button to do so). You can travel to Pakistan if you receive a valid ETA in favor of your application.

Please Note: An ETA is valid for 90 days from the date of issuance. Visa application will be cancelled if an applicant does not travel within prescribed period.

Application Type

You can apply for following type of medical visa online:

  • (Entry): You can apply for a new visa if you do not possess a valid Pakistan visa.

Eligibility

  • Citizens of Afghanistan having above mentioned medical conditions are eligible to apply for this visa.
Please Note: Only one attendant is allowed to accompany a patient. Attendants are required to submit separate visa applications under the same category after the patient’s visa application has been submitted.

  3. Medical Report

Duration and Validity

  • Single Entry for short duration up to 3 months

Processing Time

Issuance of Visa is the prerogative of the Government of Pakistan.
  • 48-72 Hours (Working days)
Please Note: Visa shall be granted subject to examination of the patient / medical report by certified doctors at Torkham and Chamman Land Routes.
Please Note: If the application is Sent Back for Review to the Applicant, the set processing time will be applicable again (The processing time will re-start from the date of re-submission of application).
The Application will stand cancelled if applicant doesn’t resubmit his/her application in Seven (7) days from the date of application sent for review.
